Dieppe, October 17, 2024 – The “Association des professionnels en développement économique du Québec” (APDEQ) awarded the prestigious 2024 Outstanding Career Award to Mr. Louis Godbout, Executive Director of Expansion Dieppe, during its annual conference held in Sherbrooke on October 11. This award recognizes Mr. Godbout's exceptional commitment and remarkable achievements in the field of economic development.
Since 2013, APDEQ has been presenting this award to acknowledge and promote the efforts of economic development professionals who have dedicated their careers to driving growth and fostering innovation in their communities. Through his dynamic leadership and strategic vision, Mr. Louis Godbout has made a significant impact on the economic landscape of the Dieppe region, New Brunswick.
A Unanimous Tribute to a Career Dedicated to Economic Development
A graduate in engineering with honors from the University of Moncton, Louis Godbout joined Expansion Dieppe in 2007 as Director of Business Development. Since being appointed General Manager in 2014, he has spearheaded numerous innovative initiatives, contributing to the rapid expansion of the Dieppe Industrial Park and the creation of quality jobs for the local community. His collaborative approach has enabled him to forge strategic partnerships with key players, including the private sector, academic institutions, and government agencies, thereby ensuring sustainable economic growth for the region.
