Expansion Dieppe announces the opening of nominations for its 2024 Banquet!

Dieppe (NB), February 20, 2024 - Expansion Dieppe announces the call for nominations for its annual Banquet and invites the community to submit the names of Dieppe businesses that stood out in 2023.

The Banquet Expansion Dieppe is the must-attend annual event for the business community. It showcases the achievements of local businesses, and recognizes the hard work and dedication of the people who contribute to their success.

The nomination process is open to any business or organization that has made a significant contribution to the growth and development of Dieppe. The categories are as follows:

• The "Business Excellence" award will be presented to a Dieppe business that excels in the production and/or distribution of goods;
• The "Service Business Excellence" award will be presented to a Dieppe business that excels in the providing services and;
• The "Emerging Business" award will be given to a Dieppe business that, since its creation of at least two years, has been able to build a reputation as a credible, innovative business with a promising future.

Nominations can be submitted HERE. All submissions will be reviewed by a panel of experts to determine the list of finalists.

Save the date of June 13, the Banquet Expansion Dieppe, true to tradition, is sure to impress. The City of Dieppe is proud to be the host, opening the doors of the UNIplex to welcome the 22nd edition of the banquet. "We're delighted to be hosting this event here at the UNIplex for a second year," says Mayor Yvon Lapierre. "We were able to see during the last edition, that this ultramodern event center is the ideal location for this great celebration of our business community that makes us proud, year after year!". For the first time in June 2023, the Banquet took place on the UNI surface of the UNIplex. Building on this first experience, the 2024 edition promises to delight the many participants.

"Expansion Dieppe will be turning the spotlight on 9 finalists," explains Executive Director Louis Godbout. "It's the entire business community that will be invited to celebrate home-grown entrepreneurship." The event is a prime opportunity for local businesses and organizations to meet face-to-face and network.

"This is Expansion Dieppe's signature event, a long tradition of recognizing the efforts of those who have had a positive impact on Dieppe's economic development," explains Adel Gönczi, president of Expansion Dieppe. "Especially since we're celebrating the 50th anniversary of the corporation's creation this year! Initially created under the name Dieppe Industrial Park ltd, the organization has contributed, through its strategies, to the prolific development of the City of Dieppe. This will be an opportunity to celebrate our rich past and, above all, our promising future, in the company of players from the business world".

Originally known as the Dieppe Entrepreneurs' Banquet, this event was created in 2003. In 2019, its name changed to "Banquet Expansion Dieppe", and the event, which is still a celebration of Dieppe entrepreneurship, adopted the slogan "Our businesses. Our pride! The 20th anniversary of the event is celebrated in 2022, under a large tent. Starting in 2023, the event will take place at the UNIplex, the City of Dieppe's premier facility for accommodating large numbers of guests.
