The Expansion Dieppe Banquet is the must-attend annual event for the business community. It showcases the achievements of local businesses and recognizes the hard work and dedication of the people who contribute to their success.

Each year, Expansion Dieppe celebrates the outstanding contributions of businesses and entrepreneurs to the economic development of Dieppe. The competition is open to all private businesses in Dieppe.

The nomination process is now open and will close on March 6, 2026. Submitting a nomination is a great way to highlight local success stories and ensure deserving leaders get the recognition they deserve.

Not sure where to start? Each category below includes clear eligibility criteria to help you choose the best fit for your nominee.

Here are the three (3) categories:

Business Excellence Award: This award is presented to a Dieppe business that excels in the production and/or distribution of goods and makes a significant contribution to the business community. The business must have been operating for at least five (5) years by December 31, 2025. This business should demonstrate exemplary vision, insightful management, and qualities that inspire others. It must show success and growth in areas such as expansion, diversification, sales, profitability, job creation, and the physical image of the business. Criteria include success and growth in expansion, diversification, sales, profitability, job creation, brand image, and community engagement. A business that has previously won this award can reapply after eight (8) years.

Service Business Excellence Award: This award honors a Dieppe business that stands out for its exceptional services and shows notable growth in expansion, diversification, and investment. Performance in sales, profitability, job creation, and brand image will also be evaluated. The business must have been active for at least five (5) years by December 31, 2025, and actively contribute to the region's economic development. A business that has previously won this award can reapply after eight (8) years.

Emerging Business Award: This award is given to a Dieppe business that, while relatively new, has established a reputation as a credible, innovative company with a promising future. It must demonstrate success or sufficient potential in areas such as sales, profitability, growth prospects, and job creation. Additionally, it should show community engagement through its involvement. The business must have been operating for at least two (2) years (2024 and 2025) but no more than five (5) years by December 31, 2025. A business can win this award only once.

To give your nomination the best chance, please also take note of the additional criteria that apply to all nominations:

• The competition is open to all private businesses established in Dieppe.
• A subsidiary can only submit its application under one name.
• A franchisee in Dieppe may participate even if the headquarter is located elsewhere.
• No minimum number of employees is required to qualify.
• A previous finalist can reapply.

About the Expansion Dieppe Banquet 

Expansion Dieppe's mission is to work with entrepreneurs, developers and strategic partners to foster a diversified economy that ensures sustained growth in Dieppe. To encourage this dynamic, it is essential to recognize the considerable contribution of businesses and business people to Dieppe's economic development.

Under the theme "Our businesses. Our Pride", Expansion Dieppe continues its annual Banquet, a unifying event for Dieppe's business community, during which awards are presented to deserving entrepreneurs.

The following awards are presented to outstandingly successful businesses: the Business Excellence award, The Service Business Excellence award, the Emerging Business as well as the My choice award, which is the public's choice. Nominations are made by peers within the Dieppe business community.

Originally known as the City of Dieppe Entrepreneurs' Banquet, this event was created in 2002. In 2019, the name changed to "Banquet Expansion Dieppe", and the event will remain a celebration of Dieppe entrepreneurship.
